The 20th Anniversary Tournament kicked off at 9:10 am, featuring enthusiastic Little Dragons in white and yellow stripes eagerly seated on the mats. Subsequently, the green/blue and red Little Dragons showcased their skills in fundamental drills. Patiently observing, the green stripes watched as blues and reds displayed their prowess in the Special Technique category.
After each section, all Little Dragons received participation medals, while overall winners were honoured by Master Horan. During the green-red Little Dragons presentation, Master Horan awarded Master Owen the 20th Anniversary commemorative Trophy, highlighting two decades of remarkable achievements. Master Horan also shared that funds from the competition would support UTA competitors at the upcoming European Championships in Wales.
The main school competition unfolded, featuring coloured and black belts, from cadets to seniors, engaging in Patterns, Sparring, Special Technique, and Power for those over 14. The competitors showcased perseverance, uniting UTA schools in celebration, emphasizing that participation is paramount, win or lose.
A heartfelt appreciation is extended to parents and competitors for their support in funding international competitors. Special thanks to umpires and volunteers whose dedication ensured the success of these events.
