UTA in attendance at 4th Degree+ training day.
The UTA had 15 Students from 4th-6th degree joining UK ITF practitioners from around the country for a packed day of training.
The day started with GM Nicholls covering the 4th degree Patterns, taking out difficult fundamentals and discussing the method of each movement.
Following a short break, the 4th degree split off into a smaller group with Master Horan who moved through the 2nd degree patterns. 5th degrees and above remained with GM Nicholls to run through extension whilst kicking and continue with the 5th degree patterns. Once again, the purpose and method of each movement was highlighted, making sure that everyone had a good understanding for teaching and training purposes.
Master Sheehan took everyone through some combination kicking drills after a lunch break before each grade continued to drill their senior patterns, with 5th degrees joining the 4ths to work on 3rd degree patterns. GM Nicholls covered the final pattern Tong-Il with the remaining 6th degrees.
Concluding the training day, Mr Owen was to take his 7th Degree Master grading alongside other senior grades. Official results will follow.
It was a fantastic day of reflection on Senior Patterns and great to train alongside other higher grades with the mindset of continuing to further our learning. Everyone took lots of valuable knowledge and we look forward to the next one. Thank you to @ukitf for organising a great event.
